     Michael George Edison, Esq. is the Founding and Managing Partner of Edison & Edison, PLLC, a Florida-based law firm focused on business, real estate, construction, and contract law. He advises entrepreneurs, property owners, and closely held companies throughout the Tampa Bay region on transactional, regulatory, and dispute-related matters, bringing a practical and principled approach to legal problem-solving.


      Michael’s professional perspective is shaped by a unique blend of private legal practice and public service. Prior to becoming an attorney, he served as a Detective and Deputy Sheriff with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, where he worked in narcotics investigations, organized crime, and crime suppression units. His law enforcement background continues to inform his disciplined, compliance-focused approach to governance, risk management, and organizational leadership.


     Committed to education and the preparation of future public servants, Michael serves as an adjunct professor at Hillsborough College’s Law Enforcement Academy. In this role, he teaches legal curriculum to law enforcement recruits, including constitutional law, criminal procedure, statutory interpretation, and officer liability.


     Michael is deeply involved in community and nonprofit service in East Hillsborough County. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Valrico FishHawk Chamber of Commerce, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to strengthening local businesses and community engagement, and on the Board of Directors of Graze Academy, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on equine-assisted therapy and community wellness. He also serves on the Brandon Parade of Lights Committee, supporting local traditions and charitable fundraising efforts.


       A God-fearing Christian, devoted husband, and father of four, Michael places faith, family, and service at the center of his life. He and his wife homeschool their children and live on a small cattle ranch in Central Florida, continuing a lifelong connection to agriculture, stewardship, and hard work. He is a proud patriot who values service to God, family, and country.


    Michael earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University. He is admitted to practice in Florida and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
